Images You Upload

When you use our background removal tool, you upload images to our servers for processing. These images are processed in real-time by our AI and are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. We do not store, archive, or retain your uploaded images.

Automatically Collected Data

We may collect limited technical information to operate and improve our service:

  • IP address (used solely for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Pages visited and time spent on our website
  • Referral source (how you found SaafBG)

Email Address (Waitlist Only)

If you voluntarily join our premium waitlist, we collect your email address to notify you when premium features launch. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your images and deliver background-removed results
  • Prevent abuse and enforce rate limits

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your uploaded images are sent to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) solely for the purpose of removing backgrounds. OpenAI processes these images under their own data processing terms and does not retain images submitted via API.

5. Data Retention

  • Uploaded images: Deleted immediately after processing (typically within seconds)
  • Rate limiting data: IP hashes are retained for up to 24 hours
  • Waitlist emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes
  • Analytics data: Aggregated, anonymized data may be retained for up to 12 months

6. Cookies

SaafBG uses minimal cookies necessary for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. If we use analytics, it will be privacy-respecting and anonymized.
